I’m Liz Reynolds. Knoxville, Tennessee-native. Aquarian.
This blog is a hodge-podge, representing the most notable from my life since I graduated college in 2009.
The first few posts are from a cross-country road trip I took and all the Couchsurfing adventures that went along with it.
From 2010-2012 I lived in Vladivostok, Russia, teaching English, first on a Fulbright grant and then on my own.
From fall 2012 to spring 2013 I WWOOFed at organic farms in Greece and Germany, with some weeks spent in Berlin and Paris, visiting friends and family.
Part of 2013 I spent working on an organic farm in Scarborough, Maine.
2014 has been full of a lot more travel – Russia, Japan, Nepal – and in 2014 I found myself back in Japan, on Shikoku island in the south, doing a work exchange at a small guesthouse in Matsuyama.
Though I was in the States for most of 2015, I did return to Sen Guesthouse in Matsuyama for my second stint from October to February.
2016 introduced me to Charlottesville, where it looks like I’m settling down for awhile! I also get to spend summers in Middlebury, Vermont, for a graduate program in Russian Studies – there’s nothing better than Vermont in the summer!
I have enjoyed the eight years I’ve narrated my life on this blog and am looking forward to sharing my 30s as well!
Liz,
Your blog is great. Your mom sent us the link. What you are doing is extremely interesting.
Good luck.
William
Hi, Liz! I love your blog, especially the beautiful photographs of Vladivostok! Thanks for letting us follow you from “old” Washington!
Liz,
What you write about is so unique to the American part of your audience. When combined with that wry, sharp wit of yours it makes for great reading.
Keep up the good work,
Dad
